On the occasion of the 2016 Denkmal Trade Fair, Europe’s leading trade fair for conservation, restoration and renovation, the European Heritage Alliance 3.3 gathered for its autumn plenary session from 9-11 November 2016 in Leipzig, Germany.

Rodolphe de Looz-Corswarem, the Executive President of the European Historic Houses Association, gave a speech during this gathering to all organisations’  representatives present and all other politicians, civil servants and members of the press present. In his speech, titled ‘Towards the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018’, he focused on the social, economic, cultural and environnemental importance of cultural heritage, the particularly endangered position of privately owned historic houses, cooperation between the different organisation of the Alliance 3.3 and lastly the central point for the time to come, the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
