The European Heritage Alliance 3.3, coordinated by Europea Nostra, is an informal European sectoral platform composed of 30 European or international networks and organisations active in the wider field of cultural heritage. The European Historic Houses Association is proud to be part it as the attitude towards heritage of European policy-makers has started to change. Indeed, a renewed interest has been clearly demonstrated in different Communications, Conclusions, Opinions and Resolutions adopted by the European Commission, Council of Ministers, Committee of the Region and European Parliament.

The name of this Alliance refers to the article 3.3. of the consolidated version of the Lisbon Treaty of the European Union which stipulates that “[The Union] shall respect its rich cultural and linguistic diversity, and shall ensure that Europe’s cultural heritage is safeguarded and enhanced.”
