The Annual Meeting of the European Historic Houses Association was held in Dublin, Ireland, from September 30 to October 3, 2010. More than 150 participants came to Killruddery Estate in Bray to discuss sustainability and heritage. It was the occasion for Ghislain d’Ursel to pass the torch, after eight years at the head of the association, to our current Executive President, Rodolphe Count of Looz-Corswarem. The annual conference of the European Historic Houses Association took place on September 30, 2010 in Killruddery Estate. The theme of the conference was “sustainable management and patrimony of historic houses”.

The Heike Kamerlingh Onnes Award was given to Mrs. Moira Durdin-Robertson, receiving the award in memory of her late husband, David Durdin-Robertson, who dedicated his life to the restoration and improvement of Huntington Castle and its ancillary buildings, gardens and estate. The day ended with a Dinner Gala at 17 St Stephen’s Green for our members. The following days, we were successively welcomed by the passionate private owners of beautiful historic houses in Ireland.
